InsertLead flips that. You bring your own Twilio account — the same one you'd open in five minutes at twilio.com — and we send through it. You pay Twilio for messages directly (no middleman markup), you own your A2P 10DLC registration, and your conversation history lives in your database, not ours.
Same idea on the AI side. Want AI-written first-touch messages? Paste your own Anthropic or OpenAI key. We never see your spend, you never pay us a markup. Bring your tools. We just glue them together with software that doesn't suck.

Do I need my own Twilio account?
Yes. That's the whole point — you sign up at twilio.com, register an A2P 10DLC brand and campaign (Twilio walks you through it), buy a number, and paste your credentials into InsertLead. Twilio bills you directly for messages. We never touch the money.
Is my data shared with other users?
No. Every lead, message, and campaign is scoped to your account at the database query level. Multi-tenant isolation is the boundary we test most carefully.
Can I use my own Anthropic or OpenAI key?
Yes. AI campaign mode is bring-your-own-key. You paste an API key in settings, we use it to generate messages on your behalf. We don't see your spend and you never pay us a markup on tokens.
How does the AI autoresponder actually work?
When you send a campaign with "Let AI handle replies" checked, every lead who texts back gets read by Claude. For each reply, Claude scores the lead's interest, writes a short follow-up that references their property and what they said earlier, and sends it from your Twilio number on a human-paced schedule (15 to 60 minutes, max a few messages a day). The moment the lead proposes a call, asks for a real person, or scores above 80, the AI stops and the lead bubbles up to your Hot inbox so you can take the call. You can also hit a single "Pause AI" button at any time to take over. Set a monthly AI budget cap in settings and the autoresponder pauses automatically when you hit it.
Am I compliant with A2P 10DLC?
You handle your own brand and campaign registration with Twilio, the same way you would on any other platform. Because the number is yours, your registration is yours — if you ever leave InsertLead, you keep it.
When will pricing be announced?
When we've got enough beta feedback to set a fair number. Waitlist signups will hear first.
Can I import my existing list?
Yes. CSV import handles Podio exports and most other common formats out of the box, normalizes addresses and phone numbers, and de-duplicates against your existing leads.
